Welcome
to Ledbury Country Market
Ledbury Country Market is part of the nationwide organisation,
Country Markets Limited, and also a member of the Herefordshire Country
Market Society. It is open every Friday (except for Good Friday and
usually for two weeks after Christmas) from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
in St. Katherine's Hall, High St., Ledbury, HR8 1DS.
The products sold are all locally produced, locally
grown and hand crafted by local people and include free range eggs,
home grown fruit, vegetables and plants in their season, as well
as a large choice of baked goods - cakes, biscuits, puddings, savouries
and seasonal items such as Christmas cakes and puddings, and Easter
simnel cakes.
There is a choice of over 70 different chutneys, jams,
jellies, local honeys, apple juices, marmalades and lemon curd, an
attractive array of greetings cards for all occasions, and hand made
items of jewellery, knitted garments, door stops, pictures and children's
toys. Coffee and tea is served with home made biscuits.
The Marketeers pride themselves
in giving everyone a warm welcome and consider customers to be friends.
Every effort is made to meet their needs by cooking items that cater
for special diets and orders can be taken for those who cannot get
to the Market early, or can be delivered where a customer cannot
get in.
The Market has many regular customers, not only from
the Ledbury area. One couple comes from Southend-on-Sea
to buy marmalade and another comes from Birmingham for chocolate
brownies. Last year a lady came from Chalfont St Peters and bought
damsons, then came back the next weekend to collect some more.
To place an order please let us know before Thursday
evening by email or phone 07836 772211 early on a Friday morning
so your order can be put to one side before the market opens.
